Well for £4.99 even it is a load of rubbish you haven't lost a vast sum of money, although if you decide to go for one, ask in-store whether you can return it if you are not entirely satisfied with it. Just one other thing for £4.99 don't expect the best quality in the world, alternatively I think play.com do a good priced lead at £10.00 all in and 2.4m so is a handy length and I am sure Ixos do a lead around about £20.00 now. What kit do you have by the way?, if its a budget dvd player and hdtv screen then an inexpensive lead will be fine, however if its a step up from budget kit ie midrange sony, toshiba, it would probably be worth spending a little more say up to £20.00-£30.00
