Monster Component cables

Hi,

I have been given the opportunity to purchase some Monster Component Cables to connect my Samsung dvd/vcr combi with my Sharp 37 inch lcd tv.
These cables will cost me £39.99, they said if I don't notice the difference compared to normal scart leads they will refund me my money. Should I go ahead and buy?
Has anyone already bought Monster component cables before and if so could I have your comments please.

Thanks

Re: Monster Component cables

You WILL notice the difference but to complete the full circle you also need a pair of audio leads. As for using Monster my experience of their cables has not been good. My son had a very large Monster Scart cable, but due to the fact that he move his SKY box be needed to get another Scart cable which was longer and came under the name Pro-logic, suffice to say the cheaper cable gave a better picture. You will get a better picture with component if you also engage progressive in the DVD player.
This cable will also do the trick http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/CP001.html but you will also need one of these http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/PH002.html but double your manuals that ALL connections use phono attachments and your DVD player can also do progressive.
