Connecting speakers to the amp?

Mission FS2 speakers ... need to connect to a Pioneer AX5ai amp/av-receiver...

How do I do it? The cables that I have at mo "I believe" don't have any plugs on the other end.

I just need a temporary solution so that I can get sound on my plasma!!
in time for the Champions League Semi-Final!!

Help ?

The system comes with a thick black cable that has a rectangular plug and an RCA phono plug at one end. These plug into the subwoofer, the rectangular plug goes into the matching socket, and the RCA phono plug goes into the sub input socket.
At the other end of this cable are bare wires which connect to the speaker output terminals of your amplifier. You will need to unscrew each terminal which should enable you to poke the bare wire end under the plastic shroud, then screw the terminal shroud down so it captures the wire firmly.
Each cable should be labelled, e.g. Centre + and Centre -, so you should be able to work out easily where they connect. There is also an RCA phono plug which goes into your amplifier SUB out socket.

Having made these connections you can then wire the satellite FS2 speakers to the spring clip connections on the subwoofer. Again these are labelled according to the position of the speakers.
Switch the subwoofer power on.
Then switch the amplifier on and set all speakers to LARGE and SUBWOOFER to ON or PRESENT in the speaker setup menu. Adjust the level for each channel so they sound the same loudness.

Adjust the subwoofer level control so that the bass blends with the satellites but doesn't overpower them or sound too boomy (around 11 o'clock is a good starting point). It is quite useful to use male voice on, say, the news to help with adjustment. Voice can sound uncannily realistic on the FS2 system when you get the adjustments right (I know 'cause I have them at home). You can adjust the subwoofer bass contour control to control bass emphasis depending on whether you put it in a corner or not (if in doubt leave it at around 2 o'clock).
Adjust the subwoofer level in your amplifier speaker setup menu level settings to taste when playing movies with good Low Frequency Effects.
Sit back and enjoy.
