PC to TV help please

Hi all,

I have a lot of video on my computer and want to connect the computer to my old TV to watch the videos (position of PC and seating is not worth the hassle of simply playing on PC)

My GFX card is a Radeon HD5670 and has DVI-I, VGA and HDMI output. Currently the VGA ouput is for my monitor.
My old TV has Scart sockets at rear, composite video and RCA connections at front.

I already have a 3.5mm to RCA audio cable.

So, I was wondering if it was possible to connect a "DVI-I to composite" or similar cable to accomplish my objective?

Hi,

As you have an old TV you will need to convert the VGA to standard composite video... I would get a VGA to TV Video SCART converter to get the VGA downscaled to work on your TV.

However, as you are already using the VGA, but you DO have a DVI output, simply get a DVI to VGA adapter so you can continue to use the monitor you have via the DVI instead. simples.

You will have to set which is your main screen though, in Windows Display properties.

Hope this helps!
