Subtle cable

Had a good search around and couldn't find anything about this so apologies if there are already threads about it.

Looking to finally get my 5.1 setup in my lounge and SWMBO has pointed out that she will have "horrible cables running up the walls"

We have a dado rail which I was planning to use to route the cable along in order to hide it a bit but can someone point me towards some decent cable that is fairly subtle and easy to bend round corners etc. Also some advice on fixing it would be good too

Thanks!

Please wait a little longer for people to reply, bumping a post made in the morning after less than 3 hours is way too fast.

Many people cannot respond during the working day so please wait at least 24 hours before worrying that you have no replies.

Sorry if I appeared impatient but the post had over 15 views and not a single response. I will happily wait.

Take a look on ebay for an idea of all types of trunking that is available.

Thanks Ill have a browse, was hoping to avoid running trunking though as thought it might actually draw more attention to something than divert it.

Ive seen some fairly low profile cable but no idea if its any good. Im not running a monster system but I would like to get the best out of the kit I have rather than using cheap cable that isnt up to the job.

EDIT: Thought a kit list might be helpful. Onkyo 606 and Tannoy SFX 5.1 speakers.

you can get flat speaker cable - ixos (available from avonline etc) which has a sticky back - sticking along skirting etcm and fisual flat cable for under carpets.

TBH i would router a grove in the skirting board (or dado rail) and run the cables round the room that way Vandamme blue is very flexible and you can buy pre routered boards to save hassle - search previous threads
then your cables will be hidden away!

IMHO don't go smaller than 2.5mm for speaker cable
