Multichannel audio connectors

This may seem like a dumb question but ive never had lossless audio before and have recently bought the sony s-760 blu ray player with the multichannel connectors for lossless audio etc.

My question is where do you get these connectors from? i have looked everywhere bu cannot find them or even know what their proper name is..and how much are they?

any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Hi there Russell22

Check this website out for info: -

HOW TO GET: Uncompressed PCM, Dolby TrueHD & Dts-HD MASTER Audio - Blu-ray Forum

You can buy HDMI cables from most electrical stores

I use Audiovisualonline.co.uk

Hope that helps

I would suggest that you tell us what you are trying to connect your Blu-Ray player to as that will determine if you are going to be using the analogue outputs on the back or not.

I want to connect the blu ray player i have via its multichannel oudio outputs to my standard 5.1 amp so i can receive Hd audio decoding as i do not have an HDMI amp. My question was where do you get the connectors themselves from and what are they properly called as i can't seemto find them for sale anywhere?

Assuming your amp has the matching multi-channel inputs available on it then as above, you just need normal RCA connections.

If you are still not sure then please tell us the make/model of your amp so we can help further.

Morning!

Mark Grant Cables (Mark and the rest of the Team are great!)will sort you out with a good quality and reasonably priced 5.1 cable set.

I got the Canare set for my HD DVD player and they work great!

Good luck and enjoy!
