Best way to finish speaker cables

Hi all

This may be a stupid question, but is there a neat way (without having wall plates) to have speaker cables coming through plasered walls.

My missus is dead against wall mounting speakers, but I think that it will be neater this way than on stands, I just can think of any easy way to finsh the cables coming through the plaster.

Help!

Brush plates can be a good solution.

If you search this forum you'll find plenty of details.

Re: Best way to finish speaker cables

Hi Thanks for the response.

I am going to use brush plates for the AV cables, but I think that they are too big for the speaker cables (I am going to use Kef 2005's).

What I was looking for was some kind of rubber grommet or cone.

Satcure sell grommets (in white and black) that will do the job nicely if you don't want to use the brush faceplate.

I don't bother with either for my rears because the way they mount to the wall completely covers where the wire comes out.

Having said that if your speakers need brackets you may find the brackets mounting plate will cover up where the wire comes out of the wall or try the grommets dave mentions
