Custom power extensions

Hey guys,

I'm not sure this is in the correct forum please point me to the right one if it's not.

We've just moved into a rented house and power sockets are scarse at best. It seems that conventional choice for power extensions I get to choose from are .75, 1, 2m and then so long it's ridiculous lengths. Is there anywhere that will make what you like to order. I tried ebay but that wasn't any good.

I also want to turn a single socket into a double but don't necessarily want to stick a standard 3-way plug as it sticks out from the wall. I'm really struggling to keep this all relatively tidy without adding new sockets

Thanks for any help
David

Re: Custom power extensions

Some of the ones aimed at the hifi market should be customisable. Check ebay under hifi mains cables. They assemble these using separate compenents e.g. Bennenstuhl extension sockets, braided cable, MK plugs etc. so should be able to make the cable to order. Sellers such as Audio-Friendly should be able to help.

Otherwise, you're probably looking at buying a plain one from the shop and cutting the cable to length or buying some mains cable and fitting it yourself.
