Using an HDMI cable - but don't want it to carry audio?

Hi,

I'm running an AppleTV into my projector via HDMI cable. However, I'd like to use optical cable to connect the AppleTV to my speakers.

Will that work - or will the HDMI over-ride the optical?

Thanks for your advice!

Andrew

I would imagine you will configure it in it's sound setup menu so that audio is passed via optical.
