take a look at this and search through previous threads for vandamme blue
its £2 per m - or you can get it on a 100m roll from rapid electronics amongst others:

Van Damme Studio Grade Blue Speaker Cable 2.5mm - Speaker Cable - Audiovisual Online - High Quality Audio Video Cables and Accessories

this is what i and many on this forum use - its very good cable

if you want to spend a little less this fisual cable also looks very good (i havent used it)

Fisual Super Pearl 2.5mm Speaker Cable - Black - Speaker Cable - Audiovisual Online - High Quality Audio Video Cables and Accessories

and use these plugs

Fisual Easy Fix Banana Plugs - 4 Pack - Banana Plugs, Spades and Pins - Audiovisual Online - High Quality Audio Video Cables and Accessories

personally i only use the plug at the amp end for ease and to hopefully prevent shorting - just bare wire at the other - use a bit of contact cleaner (spray can from maplin) couple of times a year

Hi wilki,

Ive just bought on 14th Van Damme 2x2.5 UPOFC Studio Grade Blue Speaker Game for £1.94 per metre from clearly av good service and 6 pence cheaper. They have lots of other stuff as well.
Penny saved here and there.

Hope this helps.
