Logitech Z-5500 5.1 System - Speaker Cable Upgraded?

Hi

I own the Logitech Z-5500 Speaker system and have been using the speaker cable that came with the system (its very thin)

I needed extra cable length and bought 10m Hi-Fi speaker cable from Maplin which is atleast double the thinkness

Now i have a few questions

Would upgrading all my speaker cable make much difference? due to the room layout i bought 10m of cable from maplin for £16 and used that for the Left Read speaker and the right read speaker is on the cable that came with the system (which is about 7-8m)

I've never noticed any problems with the difference in cable run but i do feel the speaker is now louder and produces better sound that the right speaker

Does the length make much difference in a 5.1 system like it does for a Stereo system

I'm wanting to upgrade but not pay anymore than £2/m (total run 2m x 3, and 8m x 1, 10m x1 = 24m)

would i see much of a benifit in the system if i upgraded the very thin cables

Below is a link to the cable i purchased

Hi-Fi Loudspeaker Cable : Speaker Cable : Maplin

You will not see much of an improvement with the speakers you have now, but if it is cable you will use with better equipment in the future then it is not going to be wasted.

Don't worry about cable lengths you will need huge differences before anything is noticeable.
