Help with game video splitting

This is what i would like to accomplish:

I was thinking of using this PC VGA to TV AV Signal Converter S-video Switch Box 012 on eBay, also, Audio Cables, Cables Connectors, Computing (end time 28-Jun-09 03:37:56 BST)

..but noticed it doesnt do 1920x1080, what would be the best way of achieving this kind of resolution at almost full quality, while being able to record it (i dont mind about the recording quality). Could you please link me to the ebay items i would need. I would like the cheapest way of getting the best quality onto my monitor (the same as i can just directly with a vga cable) but also i want to be able to record at the same time on my pc.

Thank you
