Hopefully I have posted this in the right forum?

I am planning to buy a loft box to distribute sky around the house as I think a HDMI matrix is cost prohibitive.

I am planning to add CCTV into the loft box, but if I get a 4 channel DVR with TV out via BNC......:

• Can I convert BNC to coax?
• Can I connect the video out from the DVR to the loft box and watch the CCTV in all rooms? I would assume if there is a remote with the unit, I could run IR extenders to each room to control the DVR if required.

You will need to modulate the BNC output up to a tv channel so that your loftbox can then share it around the house. As the BNC output will be composite video.

The IR control would be possible if the DVR was next to the main Living Room plate and then you could use a TVLink+ kit from Global to strip the IR off the coax before it goes into your Sky box.
