Hero (or "G2"!), T-Mobile, and "Access blocked" in market place

Hi all,

Got me new Hero (or G2 as t-mobile call it) 3 weeks ago. Liking it so far.

Then ... last night ... for no reason ... market place stops working - because t-mobile say I have to prove I'm over 18 ("Access Denied" when opening market place).

Has this happened to anyone else? I had to go through the "register a credit card and we'll debit and credit £2" routine to get access again.

What the h*ll are t-mobile playing at - and why are they messing around with "content blocking" without telling me about it?!

Dez

This sort of thing has been fairly standard practice for UK networks for a long time. Why it's only just started for you I don't know, but it's not uncommon at all. Voda make you do it before you can browse anything 'interesting' on Live!.

Give TBag a call and explain, I'm sure they will explain all

Content lock should have been applied from day 1 but its obviously not kicked in till now. You can remove it by entering CC details, calling CS and providing proof of age or going to a T-Mobile store with a proof of age.

If you' re registered on my tmobile you can unlock the content lock from there too. Just remember to restart the phone for the setting to kick in.
