Well, I'd imagine a co the size of O2 with their buying power buy in bulk and negotiate a good price from HTC.

I've just ordered one for £365.52 over the phone. I have an iPhone on O2 that the missus uses and just dialled 202 from the handset, went to upgrades and spoke to a lady who sold me the HD2.
The only downside is they are on low stock and she quoted 3 to 5 days for delivery. Worth waiting though for a sim free HD2
I also have an Orange contract sim that I am using with a white sim free Hero at the moment, I assume with the HD2 being sim free I will be able to put my Orange sim straight in it?
Just need to sell the Hero now, will have to put it on the classifieds

Cheers.

Ok after 20 minutes on the blower I am told that they have to fill a form out on my behalf and then send it to HTC. This can take up to 28 days!!!

***

my simplicity ( rolling 1 month contract) sim card isnt even here and I cannot use my shiny new handset

so near yet so far

You mention dial O2 from your Handset, I assume you are already an O2 customer...

Would a non O2 customer be able to purchase the handset outright ?

Cheers
