| Re: HTC HD2 Video playback
If you want to use myplayer only to access BBC iPlayer then you may be able to get away without using CorePlayer. On my Touch Pro2 I use the built-in Streaming Media Player to play iPlayer streams in myplayer, and I use TCPMP (which is the freeware ancestor of CorePlayer) to play the higher-quality .mov downloads. TCPMP struggles a little on the TP2, but the HD2 is a lot more powerful. Whether TCPMP will actually run on it, I don't know - it's worth a shot.
The built-in Windows Media Player will play some .avi files but not others - it depends on the codec used to encode them. Annoyingly it can't handle either divx or xvid codecs, which are quite common (xvid especially). CorePlayer will certainly play xvid avi's for you. So will TCPMP if you can get it to run. The alternative is to transcode the video into another format that the HD2 can handle natively - mp4 with an x264 codec works well.
