HTC Hero and Orange Maps

I have a new Hero which I'd like to use as a sat-nav...its with Orange and they offer the Orange Maps application free on my contract which is a turn-by-turn sat-nav system similar to TomTom for example.
However Orange maps don't currently support the Hero and I wonder a) if anyone knows when they may do or b) can I get hold of some TomTom type software (probably on memory card i would guess) to enable me to use my phone as a sat-nav?

Re: HTC Hero and Orange Maps

Wait for the 2.0 donut upgrade to the OS, as that will have Google Maps with turn by turn navigation built in.

Or, I believe there is an app within the market place.

Orange Maps on HTC Hero...

1. Go to Settings > Applications > Tick "Unknown Sources" to allow install of this non-marketplace app.

2. Open browser on Orangeworld Home page

3. Click Travel & Maps

4. Click on download Orange Maps graphic and follow the download link on the following page.

Allow it to install and that's it!
