HTC Magic vs Iphone

I currently own the HTC Magic and I must admit, its a nice piece of kit. Only reason I never got an Iphone is that I refuse to go onto O2. Vodafone have annouced they are releasing it around Jan to March next year.

Pros and cons between the 2 handsets? I love Apple products and use a MacBook and ipod. But with the android and google having so much opensource apps being developed, is it really worth while upgrading to an Iphone when it comes out?

Thoughts would be great...

Re: HTC Magic vs Iphone

I do have an ipod touch, which in fairness I prob hardly ever use, figured it just be like that with a phone built into it. But there is somethings that I know will annoy me, one of them being that I have to use the QWERTY key board and there not being a option to change this to T9 keypad.

It prob is down to personal choice... think the magic is annoying me slightly as even with all the latest firmware and minimal apps installed, its just does not seem as fast as the Iphone... suppose this has to be one of the issues using 3rd party developed applications to an extent.

I heard the Hero is a wicked piece of kit. Do you know if the software on the hero is downloadable for the magic?
