Doing an online search for good HTC Hero deals this company seems to have quite a presence on the web...seemingly owned by the Carphone Warehouse.

I was just about to signup on one of their deals then noticed this...

"It is not currently possible to port your existing number to Vodafone"

As the Hero is not available from O2 I was keen to move to Vodaphone but want to keep my existing O2 number which I've had for 10 years.
I have emailed mobiles.co.uk but just wondered if anyone had successfully ported their number...seems a bit odd...anyone know why?
