It looks like xda-developers have loads of apps and stuff for the HD, so i'll keep and eye on that forum.

Re: HTC Touch HD Apps Thread
I'm looking for some decent games to keep me amused on the train. Anyone tried Need for Speed Underground or Call of Duty 2 on the HD?
Any good?

Re: HTC Touch HD Apps Thread
Need for speed isn't too bad, haven't tried COD though.

Re: HTC Touch HD Apps Thread
I can recommend:
Chargeable:
Microsoft Voice Command. Very good app. Allows you to voice control your phone. Also can read out txt messages to me while I'm driving (via bluetooth car kit).
AE button plus - add short cuts to the hardware buttons. very handy and only $7.50
Resco audio recorder - very good recording app.
Free:
Tiny Twitter - nice twitter app
Live search - good to find restaurants, cinemas, etc if you're away from home
Microsoft reader - nice ebook reader. works well if using AE Button plus.
TCMP media player - handles most formats.

My old SE K800i used to have this feature and it was really useful. It means you don't have to press the power button to wake it up whenever you want to see if anything has happened.

Hi,
you could try S2U2
http://s2u2.ac-s2.com/
Not sure if it does exactly what you want but perhaps some of it.
I did have it for a while but it really does drain the battery, (or at least I found it did) sometimes I had warning battery by 1700. I would unplug the charger at 0800 so not very long!
