Exclamation Need MCE 2005 Key

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if you could help me out.

After purchasing a secondhand MCE PC a few years ago, it appears that it may not have a fully licensed version of MCE 2005. I can't remember if I received a key when I bought it as the paperwork has long gone.

The machine works fine but the new version of BBC iPlayer won't work as a scan has revealed the MCE key is not valid

I know this is a long shot, but I don't suppose anyone has an old Windows MCE 2005 licence key they no longer need - maybe the PC is no longer used or has since been upgraded to Vista etc.

If you can help me, I would be grateful - please PM me details.

I have thought about buying a complete MCE 2005 install but they want circa £75 for what is now an outdated OS.

The other option is to move to Vista but I would need to upgrade my PC which I don't really want to do at the moment.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

IIRC MCE 2005 was only ever available officially as an OEM license so you can not swap keys between machines.
