Re: Converting DVD To DIVX-XVID

Any reason why those formats? I understand that space is the normal reason, but when you have a HD TV, reducing the quality tends to make the DVD you are watching very poor in quality.

Most people will rip at full 100% compression (to MKV or ISO) to retain the DVD quality, but have it ripped to the HD. As HD space is so cheap these days, it tends to be a false economy to lose quality for these reasons.

Re: Converting DVD To DIVX-XVID

AutoGK is probably the best your get for conversion to Xvid other than doing a full manual job the old fashion way

Re: Converting DVD To DIVX-XVID

To save on HD space & the PS3 seems to do a nice job playing back what I have in the format already.

Although I am looking at getting a couple of 1.5tb drives soon.
