Post Windows Touch coming to a PC soon

The multi-touch controls familiar to Apple iPhone users will be built-in to Microsoft's Windows 7.

Re: Windows Touch coming to a PC soon

Pretty pointless to be honest, lets face it, items like the Ipod Touch and co use touch screen as an attempt to emulate the functionality of a PC, obviously, you cannot carry around a mouse in your pocket.

I cannot understand just who would find this useful, using a mouse is quick and intuitive. Who would want to be sitting that close to a screen anyway.

Stupid idea

It'll be great for Media Centres with touch screens.

Re: Windows Touch coming to a PC soon

It'll be a dream in venues / exhibitions / lecture theatres, where there's a budget for a proper tablet panel or interactive touchscreen, looking forward to getting my hands on it, as it were. It'll be a real shame if they only include it in the ultimate version and thus make their larger customers pay extra for it / have licensing grief...
