Not sure what was wrong with it to be honest. It makes sence to me. Would you have understood my comment if it said - How is Sony saying the PS3 is best news? pretty much the same thing,

The title is PC rules supreme but if you read the article it is the PC gaming alliance that is saying the PC rules supreme. It's hardly news that a group that represents PC gaming thinks the PC is best is it?

Sorry mate, this makes no sense

There are some pretty news worthy tit-bits in there. The industry growing from 18 to 21 Billion worldwide is pretty impressive.

I'd still argue that Xbox live is more accessible for the average gamer though. Also PC internet gaming being more stable? No comment...

Re: PC rules supreme in gaming world

There bassing it on the massive revenues genereated by PC gaming.

Consoles have several flaws

They have a long shelf life with fixed hardware, new faster technology is only ever a few months away on a PC

consoles even my PS3 struggle to do HD properly and give a decent fps, PCs have been killing high res for years, my dell 30" kills 2560x1600 res with my nvidia GTX at speeds and texture details that consoles would melt trying to achieve.

and the biggest killer is the controller, they sux (I have a PS3) compared to a keyboard and mouse, you just can not get the accuracy, speed or number of controls that the mouse/keyboard gives you

Pehaps if he'd included the missing quotation marks?

How is "PC Gaming Alliance says pc's are best" news?

For FPS and RTS titles, then yes, however for sports titles, platformers and beat-em-ups the kb/mouse is woeful.

Horses for courses - the joypad has to be designed to be a multi functional control interface.

hell a 360 melts just doing what it's supposed to do! I'm more of a console gamer though, my PC was all flash and new 2 years ago, it's well out of date now and I can't be arsed to spend the money upgrading it, would rather have the ease of using a console.

A top of the range gaming PC can be upgraded to give it extra life, to keep high performance. A console can't be...

Those upgrades will frequently cost more than the console though.

Personally though I prefer to game on the pc more than consoles just because the games I enjoy most are the games the pc excells in, mmorpgs particually.

you can of course use a 360 controller on the pc too for those type of games though I too prefer the simplity of the console for that type of game.
