Re: Google's pictures of UK go live

If I was buying an important investment like a house I would personally go and see the street instead of relying on a computer screen image

Civil liberties groups won't like it, but hey, we're picked up by god knows how many cameras each day. In a weeks time it will be old news. Deffo no trips to Soho for me, lol.

The Google cameras went around last summer, so you're OK on that score!

Some people have asked for certain images to be removed in which they've featured, though I think if I was the one caught taking a leak I'd probably keep quiet and hope the blurring was sufficient...!

We're captured on tens if not hundreds of cameras on a daily basis, many of which have probably caught far more embarrassing images which were probably shared amongst a handful of security staff. These are available on the web but they are intended to be a resource, not an invasion of privacy - Don't do ridiculous things in public and you won't have any cause for complaint. Fall over in the middle of the street in a puddle of your own fluids after 15 pints on a friday night and you deserve everything you get IMHO.
