Post Hollywood cult directors back Blu-ray, describe format potential as 'fantastic'

Two of Hollywood's most influential film-makers have been eulogizing about Blu-ray.
Anarchic Kevin Smith and fantasy king Guillermo del Toro both give the new format the thumbs up, with the latter describing the format's potential as 'fantastic.'

Blu-Ray is a fab format but the problem is for the everyday man on the street it still looks like a DVD and seems to pricey. Maybe next year once prices fall it will start to take off in the mainstream.

Re: Hollywood cult directors back Blu-ray, describe format potential as 'fantastic'

Wish someone would give me a 103" plasma as a gift. I'd stump up for the BR player if they did. Though I already have PS3 and a 52" 720p TV I don't have much inclination to buy lots of BR discs. In fact the only one I own is the James Bond one that came free with the PS3.

Regards

Mark
