Post Blu-ray won't replace DVD anytime soon, warns Blockbuster boss

Blu-ray, already looking a little tarnished in the US as sales falter, has now taken a high-profile clubbing from the CFO of rental giant Blockbuster.


Speaking to investors, Thomas Casey said that with no more than five per cent of disc sales, it's unlikely that the hi-def disc will become the format of choice for buying and renting movies anytime soon.  read more »

Currently new release DVD's will be bargains within 6 months - until the same happens with Blue Rays then I can't see them taking off in a big way in the near future
