Samsung are on a roll at the moment. Samsung are rumoured to launch an 8 mega pixel touch-screen phone next month called the M8800. It also has a codename called Bresson, which could be taken from Henri Cartier-Bresson, a French photographer.
It will have a thickness of 15.5mm, slightly slimmer to the Samsung Innov8 17.2mm body. It will have a large 3.2-inch display screen, able to produce 16 million colors.
I stress that at this stage, the phone is just a rumour!
I came across this from phones4u. Full text below.

The Samsung Bresson M8800 is a true epiphany of 8 mega pixel camera bliss, and can only signal a very short swift life span for their own Samsung Innov8. Okay, the Samsung Innov8 is the first 8 mega pixel camera to hit the streets of the UK, but you can't help but notice the shear bulk and weight it carries. I bet none of you can name the first England football manager, but I doubt any of you have never heard of Sir Alf Ramsey. Hopefully you can see where I'm going with this, if not, what I'm trying to say is that although the Samsung Innov8 was first, the Samsung Bresson M8800 will be the one the record books acknowledge.
The actual market name for the Samsung Bresson M8800 is still to be confirmed, due to the low profile surrounding the expected explosive launch. The M8800 is the product code, whilst the Bresson project title is rumoured to be associated with Henri Cartier-Bresson, a French photographer considered the father of modern photojournalism. Which given the handsets purpose and appeal, is very fitting.
What do we know about the Samsung M8800 though, apart from I have one and won't be giving it back, ever. Personally I'm a big fan of camera phones, especially given the convenience factor, but I often take a blurred photo when friends move any faster than a sloff. So imagine my huge pleasure when presented with an 8-mega-pixel camera phone with every camera function under the sun, whilst being more compact then a Nokia N96. To prove this point, the Samsung Bresson is 15.5mm thick, whilst a Nokia N96 is 18mm, a Sony C905 18.5mm, and finally a Samsung Innov8 is 17.2mm.
The touch screen accelerator interface is effortless and responsive, which is a far cry from many handsets on the market. Whilst the 3.2 inch 16 million pixel colour display shows excellent photos, it also supports and runs full HD TV viewing. So regardless of your entertainment demands, the Samsung Bresson M8800 is capable of occupying any preferences with the highest of competences. Films, pictures, games, and music are masterly delivered through a collection of new hardware and software advancements to the Samsung range.
Additional 'extras' to this touch screen marvel include new improved office interaction applications, GPS mapping, serious music capabilities, Instant Messaging, and high speed downloads.
Ultimately, this new flagship handset demonstrates a new dominance of the touch screen market for Samsung, whilst delivering camera capabilities far beyond anything they have previously brought to market. The Samsung Bresson M8800 will be a mobile phone are great reckoning, and the 8 mega camera is superior to anything we have reviewed to date.

Reason: link dropping again
So the Tocco was the official phone of the Olympics, the Omnia is current top dog and very soon the "Bresson" will be King of the Hill? Their phones may not be everyone's cup of tea (myself included) but Samsung are due some credit for getting on with the business of making some interesting touchscreens. All whilst a certain Finnish manufacturer has been trying to hold our waning interest month after month with leaked pictures and rumours about their own boring looking offering which hasn't even been annouced yet...
My feeling is that they will not try and compete with the Omnia, especially after the huge marketing campaign put behind it. My guess is that this phone will not be a Smartphone and similar to the Tocco but with a better screen, camera etc.
The Tocco was the official phone of the Olympics - marketing campaigns don't get much bigger than that. Yet the Omnia has swept that all to one side. The last three paragraphs of that Phones4U piece seems to indicate that it'll do the same to the Omnia. They must have good reason to say "this new flagship handset"...
The article does make it sound like the new flagship but I'd still find it strange if they did release it soon as it would 1UP the Omnia in nearly every way (although we still don't know what OS it will run).
for that spec i think it is, compared to other high-end phones!
i think the majority of the phones are overpriced to be fair. personally i just try and get the best phone i can on a free upgrade on my existing contract. just a shame t-mobile aren't getting the htc touch hd or blackberry storm as i'm most interested in those!
I don't know how the Pixon battery life compares to other touch screen phones as it is the only one I have used.
I am a light phone user (around an hour or so per week on calls) but still playing with the camera, games & internet on it a bit (boys and their toys and all that ) and generally charge it every 2 - 3 days with about half the bars on the battery level still showing.
I have a samsung pixon after my samsung iphone kept switching itself off.
Battery life is not to good as a serial texter I can send about 60 texts a day and I always have to charge it in the car on the way home. Another thing that really annoys me is when I'm typing a text on the touchscreen the space bar is above the change language button and in the middle of a text you can mistakenly change the language this is really really annoying and who ever designed this needs a slap.
I cant wait to upgrade next month it wont be for another samsung
Also storing files is a nightmare and finding. There is another button on the left hand side that brings up a mini menu, what a complete waste of a button
