Hi chrissyman.
LPCM DTS-MA decoded in the player instead of at the amp.
605 would be fine any amp that can accept LPCM over HDMI will do the job.
Mine does and it's only HDMI 1.1.
All the best.

Re: PS3 finally gets DTS-HD Master Audio support for Blu-ray

Thanks for that so the onkyo 605/705 or the sony 3200es/denon 1908 can do LPCM over hdmi i was a bit confused as the onkyo has tru hd and dts hd decoding but says nothing about LPCM on the specs.

The onkyo looks to be the best bet as it can handle just about anything

cheers

Hi chrissyman.
The 605 and above can handle bitstream HD audio and accept decoded HD audio.

They usually issue the download at the same time, so you can either go to a mates and stick it on CD or USB key, or if you get really desperate i'm sure a kind soul on the forum will send you a copy.

And DTS-MA wooohooo go the PS3. Now all we need is mkv and full xvid and divx playback and i can stop p-ing about with media PCs!

Re: PS3 finally gets DTS-HD Master Audio support for Blu-ray

Sony have done a great JOB with the PS3 and I wish them all the best for HUGE PROFITS they deserve them.

With this device we have the best value for money Audio Visual device ever produced to date. I cannot see it being topped anytime soon.

If they could make one with a "IMPROVE PLOT" or "BETTER ACTING" button on it, I might actually consider paying, oooooh, let me think...... £50 for one.
