Re: PS3 to get BD Live update

just heard from a colleauge, who is a sound programmer for the ps3 that DTS-MA functionality will be done in software at a later date via system software update (full hdmi v1.3 compliance)

No set date though.

Re: PS3 to get BD Live update

Why is everyone so hung up on bitstream??? why not just let the ps3 decode everything internally (including DTS MA when it comes) and send it as uncompressed PCM, as far i can tell the only advantage the compressed formats had was when there was a lack of disc space (hd-dvd!)
