Re: BBC reveals highlights of Christmas HD preview

The usual bbc repeats then.

Who the **** wants to see dot cotton talkin' about cucumber skins and how they upset her stomach.

(I don't watch eastenders but it was on round my parent's house the other night)

queen's boring can't be asked speech.

Why does it go on, no one is interested in what she has to say and she isn't interested in what we think.

She only does it to justify the millions of pounds they squander from the government.

royalty, yeah 200 yrs ago, this is the 21st century. They only got wealth thru slavery, dictatorship and greed which is why we lost America.

Only thing I wanna see by the bbc is doctor who and the titanic.

Re: BBC reveals highlights of Christmas HD preview

Could not agree more...

Monarchy may be a emotive subject, but with a rant like that, perhaps the gentleman would be better off in another country.. Perhaps France?

Few traditions still exist and I for one am pleased that we shall get to see the Queen's speech in HD.. Shame about the rest of the line-up perhaps..

C4 is due to start imminently in HD on Sky, so perhaps they will have something good...

Will be interesting to see the HD content on BBC, not all my cup of tea, but will be 'interesting'.

Apologies for going off-topic, but I had no idea about this C4 HD. Will it be part of Sky's HD package, or classed as free-to-air, like BBC HD?

My free year of HD expired in September

Its an HD simulcast of the ordinary C4 channel and is part of the Sky HD package. It will be free to air when there are other ways of getting it I believe.

Starts this week.

Queen's speech is on 25th December, just after the Christmas pud (Sorry - couldn't resist) One films it in August though doesn't one?

Great news about C4 HD - it's unusual that it hasn't been advertised to any great degree.

Yes it is odd - I couldn't even find anything on their website. But news from home is that is on the Sky HD Channels list alright.
