No market exists outside Japan for HD recorders ! Rubbish.
What about all the people who have bought HD Camcorders and who want to burn their content to BD discs ??

The PC is your best bet - and likely always will be given the myraid of diverse software packages. At present software enables you to burn your high def material to DVD, BluRay and/or HD DVD for playback on a high def player.
