Sony’s plan to open electronic equipment recycling plants across the US has been branded as inadequate by Greenpeace. Sony says it will open 75 recycling plants across the US where owners of obsolete Sony gear can off-load goods free of charge. Other company’s goods can also be dumped, for a fee.
