The Xbox Elite could be arriving in the UK August 24. So claims Spanish website La Trifuerza. It even suggests a retail price of 300 pounds. However, Microsoft has made no official comment about the launch of the revamped Xbox 360 for Europe. The new model will offer a 120GB hard drive and sports an [...]

Re: UK Xbox 360 Elite due August

Good news if true. Im sure it was from a spanish website that we got the first pics of the Elite packaging and accessories. £300 is what I have predicted as a price, so again hope this is correct!

Re: UK Xbox 360 Elite due August

I'd like to hear it before buying, I gave my 360 to a friend because the fans were over powering - granted I ignored it....

Until I bought a PS3 and that kinda highlighted a few harsh truths.

I hope the Elite is quieter as I miss the 360 :'-(

i cant understand why they didnt fix the issues with reliability with this machine, some disturbing reports of failure rates coming out at the moment that could put people off(me included)

Re: UK Xbox 360 Elite due August

I have an xbox 360 elite (us model)and can confirm the machine is a hell of a lot quiter than the old one even to the point I have now moved it to the living room.

The picture quality on DVD playback also seems better with standard DVD on my 50" plasma its just phenominal.

Plays some of the older games my old xbox refused to play without an update also.
