Grado launches new 'statement' headphones

Following is the press release from Grado about its new £1000 ultra high quality ‘Statement’ headphones…

Grado, the award winning headphone and cartridge manufacturer, is pleased to announce the release of its new ‘Statement’ GS1000 top-of-the-range stereo headphones.

Achieving the correct design balance between the revised drive unit and the new wooden driver housing has been of paramount importance in delivering the ultimate sonic performance that Grado desired. The company is completely confident they have accomplished their goal and as well as ‘jaw-dropping’ sound quality, the new GS1000 is one of the most comfortable headphones on the market today.

Whilst achieving all the above, The GS1000 retains a sound that is pure Grado, rich full-bodied vocals, excellent dynamics and an ultra smooth top end. The presentation is very detailed, the bass is deep and the music is very tight and non-fatiguing. All with a soundstage that is huge, allowing for unbelievable separation and layering of the music. The result is simply stunning.

The Grado GS1000 headphones are priced at £995 per pair including vat and are available now from authorised Grado dealers throughout the UK.

Specifications:
* Transducer type - dynamic
*Operating principle - open air
* Frequency response - 8Hz – 35kHz
* SPL 1mV - 98db
* Nominal impedance - 32 Ohms
* Driver matching - 0.5db
