cinemateq HDMI switcher and picture optimiser unit now available

Following is the press release from Cinemateq about its new 'HDMI centre'…

”With the new picture optimizer plus HD (SDI), cinemateq realizes the ideal concept for all HDTV functionalities in picture- and audio-switching, picture optimization and free scaling up to 1080p in only one device.

The new picture optimizer plus HD (SDI) offers a total of 11 digital and analog interfaces for video sources, plus 5 digital audio sources

What’s more, double signal outputs via HDMI and DVI for digital HDTV video signals and digital multi-channel sound are available. Using both HDMI/DVI outputs, two components can be used simultaneously; for example, one flat-TV and one projector. Two additional digital audio outputs, meanwhile, transmit the digital multi-channel sound of the selected source to existing digital surround receivers.

Besides the convenient AV switching functions, all SDTV inputs and all HDMI inputs can be adjusted in brightness, contrast, and saturation, as well as having their sharpness enhanced both horizontally and vertically. Free scaling to any native display resolution up to 1080p completes the powerful functionality of the new cinemateq picture optimizer plus HD (which is also available with two SDI inputs). Even full progressive 1080p sources are accepted by the 4 HDMI inputs, offering a pure 1080p bypass function.

The Top 5 Highlights
* 4 scalable HDMI inputs with full HDCP support and 7 SDTV inputs (with screwable plugs for HDMI)
* digital scaling of SDTV (480p/576p), HDTV (720p, 1080i) and PC formats
* 1080p output via HDMI and DVI
* parallel image at both digital outputs (HDMI and DVI)
* audio switching for 4 HDMI and 5 S/PDIF audio inputs to 2 digital audio and 1 HDMI output

The picture optimizer plus HD (SDI) is available now. Click here to find out more.”

Be interesting to see the forum experts opinion on this. What is the cost?
