Samsung's new LCD TVs NOT all 1080p compatible after all...

During a presentation by Samsung of its new LCD TV range during the CeBIT show in Hannover a couple of months back, the Samsung spokesperson claimed that all of the company's new LCD TVs would take 1080p feeds. And we dutifully reported this in the AVforums inaugural PodCast. But as part of my duties for Home Cinema Choice magazine, I've just been looking at the first of Samsung's new LCD sets, the 32R74, and sadly it most certainly would not take a 1080p feed from my Marantz DV9600 DVD deck. So either Samsung has changed the set's specifications at the last minute or, more likely, the person talking us through the TVs rather scarily didn't know his 1080i from his 1080p...

For the full story on the new Samsung set, check out Home Cinema Choice issue 301...

Does anyone know whether the other newer 32" LCD's (Toshiba WLT66, Jvc DX7) have the same issue as this; ie. not able to take a 1080p feed?
