Sennheiser delivers new 'ear-canal' headphones!

Sennheiser has launched what it’s calling its first consumer 'ear-canal' headphone design: the CX 300.

Based on technology from Sennheiser's professional in-ear stage monitors, Sennheiser claims that the CX 300 ‘sets new standards for sound quality, noise isolation and overall performance’. Also, the headphones’ unusually high efficiency is reckoned to help prolong battery life on iPods and all portable devices.

The CX 300 employs an advanced, miniaturised driver tailored by Sennheiser for smooth, acoustically correct in-ear operation, to provide the CX 300 with an extended response (18 Hz- 21 kHz) for more satisfying musical detail and bass extension.

When it comes to comfort, the CX 300 is supplied with three different-sized ear adapters in soft, silicone rubber designed to deliver long-term comfort and an unusually good in-ear seal to keep out ambient-noise reduction and boost bass.

Features
* Supplied with three different sizes of ear adapters for a better fit
* Powerful, bass-driven stereo sound with high clarity
* Strong attenuation of ambient noise
* Asymmetrical cable for greater wearing comfort
* Extremely small and lightweight
* For use with all iPods, MP3, CD, DVD, MD Players and portable game systems
* 2-year warranty

Having purchase these several weeks ago at the Bristol show I can highly recommend them. They are superb for the money. Better than the ever popular Sony MDR71 and JVC F55. They have so much more detail, control, and much better bass. Fit is also excellent, and they seem to weigh next to nothing.

i've been using shure er in ear phone recently but just changed to sennheiser PX 200 circum (or is it supra??) Aural's.
Anyway, think the sennheisers offer more detail and soundstage (marginally) but much less bass depth.
How do these ear-canal sennheisers compare?
