I have to say it's annoying the hell out of me that it seems to be so close, yet so far away. There doesn't seem to be any cast iron price for it yet (presumably, they're waiting to see how much interest there will be before committing to a price. The more people interested, the lesser the price hopefully).

I guess they're beta testing the HD Channels (Sky Movies HD 9 & 10, Sky Sports HD etc...).

Does anyone know anybody who has been chosen as guinea pigs for this?

Sky Senior Managers and Senior Technical Staff are the guinea pigs...

Most of the Sky top brass have HD already and the Technical Team Leaders do as well to be able to troubleshoot and test.

At least, this is what I've been told by one of the lowly technical team members...
