Sky launches UK's first news video podcast service

Sky has announced the launch of the UK's first ever news video podcasting service. As of Tuesday, 10 January, viewers can download Sky News video directly to their iPod or multimedia player.

The innovation means that viewers can now enjoy Sky News features even when they are on the move. The new service - Sky News video podcasting - can be accessed via the Sky News website and has launched with 7 Days, which takes a look at the week's lighter stories. A library of video clips will soon be available to download, including clips from key interviews on Sunday Live with Adam Boulton.

A weekly audio podcast from Sky News' Political Editor, Adam Boulton, looking at the week ahead is also available on the site.

I've been subscribed to this for two weeks. It's quite a good podcast, but it seems to just use the feed from the Sky News Channel because the program has the red button all through it .

I enjoyed it though for a quick 15 minutes (or whatever it is). Soon... adverts will be coming to a podcast near you. Just wait and see .

Just subscibed to Sky 7 day. It took a bit of jiggling with the settings to get it onto the iPod but the quality is really quite good. Whatever next?
