Sony accused of using 'virus tactics' to protect CDs against pirates

The BBC is reporting today that a computer expert has found the anti-piracy measures being used by Sony on its CDs resemble viruses in the way they work. For the full story, click here."

I have a Sony Label CD (bought over the web that did not tell me it was copy protected) that will only play on a PC if you use the Sony software and will only rip to a Sony mp3 player...!

I always knew Sony were anti-consumer but this takes the biscuit...!!!!

Someone should sue them - and ideally the artist on thier payroll protest.
