Samsung launches new portable MP3 player - the first with SRS WOW HD audio

Following is the press info from Samsung on its new portable HDD MP3 player…

”Samsung Electronics today announced the release of the YH-J70, the latest addition to its impressive hard disk MP3 product range 2005. The YH-J70 is a all-in-one entertainment device allowing users to play movies, music, games and displays pictures. The 30GB model can store up to 7,500 tracks; or up to 100 hours of MPEG4 video content for enjoyment on the go.

The YH-J70 features a light and compact design; with a stylish glossy finish and a large 1.8” colour TFT LCD screen. Only weighting 135g, the player is crammed with advanced AV features and supports all leading file formats (From MP3 & WMA to OGG). The intelligent HDD system, G-Sensor, ensures full protection of the ultra light device. A sophisticated sensor detects if the device is dropped and stops the hard disk drive to prevent damage.

The YH-J70 is the world’s first digital audio player to feature the SRS WOW HD sound effect, the YH-J70 also delivers high definition sound quality. Whilst listening to tracks in high quality users can simultaneously view images or play one of 5 games including a full colour favourite – Tetris.

The USB Host capability is another unique feature allowing access to compatible USB devices to move or copy files directly to the memory. Users can therefore directly transfer music/photos/videos from a compatible MP3 player, USB stick, camcorder or digital camera to the YH-J70 to play.

Not forgetting the MPEG 4 video playback capabilities the YH-J70 is further enhanced by an FM tuner; and the ability to directly encode FM radio, line-in or voice to MP3.
