Epson unleashes new entry-level projector

Epson has just released a new entry-level multimedia projector: the EMP-X3. Designed for business, education and personal use, the EMP-X3 uses XGA 3LCD technology with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, delivering a claimed brightness level of 2000 ANSI lumens.

Another key feature of the X3 is its Quick Start function, which means the projector needs only four seconds to start displaying information. Similarly Epson’s Easy Off feature lets you turn the projector off and pack it away without needing to wait for it to cool down.

Other key features include: vertical keystone correction of +/- 30 degrees; a throw distance ratio that means it can project a 60 inch image with just 1.8 metres between the projector and the screen; Optical zoom; Automatic detection of computer signal; 7 preset colour modes for different source types – Presentation, Theatre, Blackboard, sRGB, Photo, Sports, Game; HD Compatible; and a total weight of just 2.6kg.
