Blu-Ray racks up yet more movie studio support

Sony's Blu-Ray high definition DVD format has signed up yet another high-profile movie studio. The latest addition to the Blu-Ray cause is Lions Gate Home Entertainment, with the company's president, Steve Beeks, going on record to say that "Blu-Ray's storage capacity along with the level of copyright protection the format offers, the demonstrated manufacturability and the acceptable cost proposition" played a major part in the company's decision to issue its movies in the Blu-Ray home format. It's been a while since we heard any announcements of this sort of magnitude to support HD-DVD...

Its ok to hear of the various studios supporting this and that formatof HD, this isnt what I want to hear.
It will only delay me, by many years, in buying the relevant gear. Its just frustrating for consumers in not being able to buy what they want now, not in 1 or 2 years time. Maybe everyone should sent an email to the major players telling them there concerrns and to come to some unified aggreement.
