van den Hul to make leadless cables with immediate effect

van den Hul BV has announced that as of now all of its cable products in the market have been assembled with lead-free solder.

To achieve this, vdH is using a specialist solder with a high 3.5% silver content – and it’s claiming that an unexpected side effect of the new solder is that side-by-side the new cables produce better sound!

Van den Hul claims that the new solder “forms part of van den Hul's ongoing environmental policy, along with the use of PVC free plastics etc to generate a safer workplace and environment.”
