Creative unwraps new high-performance sound cards for games, movies, or music

Creative has just announced the launch of its Sound Blaster X-Fi range of sound cards, incorporating the eagerly awaited Xtreme Fidelity audio processor.

According to Creative, 'Sound Blaster X-Fi dramatically enhances the way you experience music, movies and games on a PC'.

It's claimed that with Sound Blaster X-Fi, 'MP3 & CD music can sound even better than the original studio recording, and you can experience amazing surround sound in games, movies and music using standard stereo headphones.'

The card directs its power to any of 3 key modes for optimum performance in Entertainment, Gaming and Audio Creation.

Products available from early September are:
Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro: £249.99
Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS: £179.99
Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum: £149.99
Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music: £99.99
