Will the lg drive play any region of bluerays?

looking at buying some US bluerays. as i can save a few quid on them but will they work on my drive?

"You can change the region coding of the drive 5 times, then it's locked.
Maybe it's possible to reset it back to 5, I'm not sure.

Most people use AnyDVD HD to knock out the region coding as well as the anti-copyright restrictions. "

Not so sure about the last part of that statement, but yes, AnyDVDHD will remove region encoding (or to be more precesice, acts as a layer that interprets the region encoding and does not pass the instructions to the hardware) as well as skipping to the main film and removing all the annoying unskippable adverts and trialers.

Yep - and AIUI only 1/3rd of BD releases (mainly Fox titles?) have Blu-ray regional encoding (it is much less widespread than with DVDs)

Even some discs that say A or B on them sometimes turn out to be region-free.

There are quite a few sites around that list the regional encoding (or lack thereof) of Blu-ray releases.
