HP s3541.uk - Slimline PC

Hi all,

This is my first post, and just wanted to add that I just brought the following PC, which I am using a HTPC connected to my 40" LCD in the lounge.

It cost £479 from comet (UK), and sits very nice in my TV cabinet.

http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/pro...70813/HP-S3541

It is very quiet and plays all my DVDs and 720p content (.mkv) I can throw at it.

I might add a Blueray player later, but as I already have one on my Sony laptop, I might archive my Blueray collection onto an external disk.

It comes with a bluetooth keyboard & mouse, and has the vista media centre remote control aswel, which works very well.

So far I am really pleased with it, and have not noticed any slow down when watching 720p .mkv files.

I would recommend this to anyone who can't be bothered to build there own HTPC or just wan't to buy one already built for them.

Cheers
James

Re: HP s3541.uk - Slimline PC

I considered this PC also, dabs and cconline had them a bit cheaper though. Just thought the Dell studio slim was better featured for the same money, the HP is smaller though, but that's mainly because it's only got one internal bay for a hard drive.
