Post CEATEC 08: Toshiba unveils Cell-powered TV, urges 'happy zapping'

Toshiba has unveiled its first ever TV prototype with embedded Cell processor at the Japanese CEATEC Expo.


The model, which* features a Cell/B.E multi-core processor,* not only upscales standard definition TV and video to an approximation of hi-def, but also can decode and playback multiple video screens simultaneously.  read more »
