Denon AVC-A1HD lands EISA best product award.

The Denon AVC-A1HD has been awarded the 2008-2009 EISA best product award in the Home Theatre High End category.

Here is the press release;

Quote:
August, 2008 – DENON, one of the world’s premier manufacturers of high-quality home entertainment products, is pleased to announce that their reference class A/V surround amplifier AVC-A1HD has been awarded the 2008-2009 EISA Best Product Award in the Home Theater High-End category. The European Imaging and Sound Association is the unique association of 50 special interest magazines from 19 European countries forming the
world’s most prestigious multimedia magazines association.
The DENON AVC-A1HD features technological highlights such as the video processor REALTA T2 and numerous HDMI ports with all the advantages of the latest specification 1.3a. All help to ensure that concerts and films can shine with breathtaking sharpness down to the smallest detail even on large projector screens. However, the engineers have also done their utmost to ensure superb sound: exclusive D.D.S.C. HD circuits, an audio decoder
for HD sound formats such as Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio, and the best Audyssey room calibration system of all time, create an ideal basis for an absolutely highfidelity acoustic experience – just like artists and high-end enthusiasts yearn for. To make sure this elation is maintained for years to come, superb workmanship, innovative multimedia/network ports and convenient upgrade options guarantee maximum future-proof capability.
Read the EISA jury’s verdict:
“Arguably the most powerful and complete HD Home Theater receiver available, the DENON AVC-A1HD is the pinnacle of DENON’s continuing effort to bring the best in multichannel audio and high definition video to the discerning enthusiast. Three SHARC DSP chips from Analog Devices are combined with proprietary 'Advanced-AL24' processing, a sophisticated power supply and selected audiophile components to deliver a blend of raw power and precision. Similarly, a top Realta processor from Silicon Optix runs
powerful algorithms from Teranex to assure near-perfect adaptive de-interlacing and scaling from any kind of video source. As expected, the connectivity is from another world, catering for every high definition audio and video format and even including Wi-Fi compatibility. The AVC-A1HD is simply the home theater perfectionist's dream.”
